Mahou Beer was first produced at the Amaniel Street Brewery in Madrid in 1891, under the leadership of Casimiro Mahou García, who was also instrumental in the establishment of the Brewers Association in 1922.
In 1943, after the passing of Casimiro Mahou García, his son Alfredo Mahou de la Fuente took over the company's responsibilities.
By 1962, with significant growth in sales and revenue, Mahou began exporting its beer. The Mahou brand made its first beer at the Imperial Paseo Brewery in Madrid, a venture that had started the previous year. Since then, Mahou has expanded its distribution network globally.
